Evan Schafer Robotics Memorial Fund

This fund has been established to honor the life of Evan Schafer, a young adult who left us much too soon. Evan was a 2017 graduate of Avon High School and a beloved member of the Roborioles, the high school’s robotics team. A brilliant student with an aptitude for technical concepts, he applied his love of solving complex puzzles to the engineering tasks of building a better robot. And build a better robot they did, with the team winning the Indiana First Robotics State Championship in 2016 and competing at the World Championships!

Evan’s dedication, creativity, and ability to make you smile when you were feeling down certainly enriched our lives and we hope that this memorial will serve to honor his life and acknowledge the complex emotions that accompany his loss.

Any money donated to this fund will be made available to the Roborioles robotics team at Avon High School, with the purpose of providing dues and travel expenses for students in need, making robotics accessible to all students. Evan’s legacy will forever inspire future generations of young innovators. Note that AEF is a 501c3 organization, so all gifts are tax deductible and we will work with individuals for matching funds.
